Transportation information for your student is now available from two sources. The Home Access Center and Infofinder are available for bus stop and approximate time information for students and parents. Infofinder was successfully launched in school year 2017-18 and will continue for school year 2018-19. Parents can access Infofinder from any device on the SDoL website. Additionally, the Home Access Center has the same information. Individual transportation letters will not be mailed. If you have questions or concerns, please contact your student’s school building for more information.

If your child qualifies for transportation, the bus number and time will be displayed on both Home Access Center and Infofinder. If your child does not qualify for transportation, “NOBUS” or “WALK” will be displayed for your address on Infofinder and the same information will show on the Home Access Center. Students living within 2.0 miles of the high school or middle schools will not receive transportation unless there is a special need. Students living within 1.5 miles of the elementary schools will not receive transportation with the same exceptions for special needs. This is in accordance with school board policy and the PA School Code.

If your child misses the bus, we will not send the bus to your stop again unless circumstances are out of your control. Please be sure to review the following guidelines:

  1. Students should be waiting at their assigned bus stop at least 5 minutes before their scheduled stop time.
  2. Students must get on and off the bus at their designated stop. If a student exits the bus at a stop to which they are not assigned, disciplinary action may be taken. This policy is in place to protect students, parents and our school district.
  3. Be courteous and friendly to the driver at all times, recognizing his/her authority while on the bus.
  4. There is a 10 foot danger zone all around the school bus. Please make sure, if your child must cross a street, they cross in front of the bus and at least 10 feet away in order to be visible to the driver.
  5. Children must remain seated at all times and keep head, hands and arms inside the bus.
  6. Fighting, profanity and vandalism will not be tolerated.
  7. The bus driver is authorized to assign seats.

Safety for our students is our first priority, so traffic and weather delays may occur.
