Message from Mr. Christopher Lopez

Dear Parents, Students, and Community Partners,

Welcome to Martin Luther King, Jr. Elementary, a place where we are reshaping the lives of our children, our community, and our future. Together, we must maintain a high level of expectation for our children. It is our mission to ensure that every child receive the necessary supports to meet their full potential to become positive contributors to our society.

Our teachers and students continue to prove that we are the best the School District of Lancaster has to offer. Together we must continue to push forward in order to provide our students with optimal teaching and learning opportunities for future success.

As a parent, you are your child’s first teacher. The support you provide today can determine their future success. The educational needs of your child can best be served when parents and educators work together. Together, we must continue to hold ourselves and our children to higher expectations while providing the necessary supports to succeed. Throughout the school year we will be asking for your assistance and support. There will be many exciting events and activities planned for you and your children. By attending and participating in these events, you show your child the importance of education. I also encourage you to become an active member of our school by joining our Parent Teacher Organization and/or Parent Advisory Council. Share your voice and make a difference for every child!

Community partners, we look forward to your continued support in helping to meet the needs of our students and families. We welcome new community partnerships and/or volunteers to share in this work together. It takes all of us working together to make the biggest difference.

On behalf of the entire staff at Martin Luther King, Jr. Elementary, we thank you for your continued support and cooperation. We look forward to working with our children and ensuring their success “Together We Can, We Have, and We Will.a”

Sincerely,

Mr. Christopher N. Lopez
